Last Night Blues

Tonight, Sadly, is my last night here at Mammoth Caves National Park. I would normally have some crazy story about something I did with all the "people" I met... But I just met people tonight! They're cool people too :( ... But I'll get over it (after I get their numbers). It just so happened that Jeremy and Lisa had reservations here at some of the same time as us!!! So Kacey and Even have worked me to death swinging them on this tire swing at the playground. It's all in good fun though!! Yesterday we went on an amazing tour called the Violet City Lantern       tour. HIGHLY recommended. We traveled to a part of the cave where NO other groups go. There are no lights, no electric wires, no sign of civilization but the Indian Markings, The remains of a TB study, and Names smoked onto walls from the early 1800's. It was AH-MAZING. That means a lot coming from a person who has traveled through WAY too many caves in her life! There was no photography aloud on this tour (well, no flash photography, In a cave lit only but oil lantern light that means none.) so I don't have pictures from it... You'll have to go see it your self!! Today I met some guys named Matt and - (no idea what the other guy's name is) (don't really care either). ahah! They seem to be really cool! The little ones had me push them on a tire swing today... They referred to my 'casted' foot, which I used to push them with, SUPER FOOT! I figured that that was one way of looking at things! Well I guess thats It... Until Next time...

Cave Crawler!!(:

So I guess I'm just a regular cave junky now. I loveeeee Caves!!! Don't ask me why but I always have and always will. Maybeeee.... Instead of getting married on a beach I'll get married in a cave? Anyone who's cool enough to join...  marry me :) Sounds great:) Random thought OUT! Haha:) anyways!! The Grand Avenue tour today was awesome!! I took plentyyy of pictures for you out-of-state so-you've-never-been people! Hope you consider coming someday!
So there were like people from wayyyy out of state here. On our tour alone we met people from Indiana, Colorado, Missouri, Slovakia (yes, you heard right, Slovakia!), France, Oregon, Illinois, and New Hampshire. Not only that, But I can now say that I've seen EVERY license plate in the US. (I was missing New Mexico) I feel accomplished:)) DARN, I just thought that I haven't seen Alaska's or Hawaii's. NOOO!!! Enough of my Ramblings... who wants to see some PPIIICCCTTUUURREEESS? :
This is me. Clearly. And I'm pretending to be a Price Is Right  Model. Let me know how I'm doing!
Formations.... Obviously:) These were in the 'Drapery' room near the end of the tour.  Said to be 200,000 years old!!!!!!!!!!!
This lady appears to be my aunt Jodi from Nebraska when she has just got finished mowing! Be sure to show this to her Megan:) I think it's funny how she doesn't know that she's on my blog. haha! laughing at others costs!
This is a cafeteria where we ate our lunch only about 1 mile into our journey in the 'Snowball room'. Named that because of its great show of calcium oxide crystallization.

Lastly, This isn't a monster! What a bummer. But we did see some pretty horrifying cave crickets!! EEEWWWWW :/

sincerely peaceful... (:

I, Brooke Lange, am currently sitting out under the awning, on a Friday night, at Mammoth Caves, during the sunset, got a fire going, the only sound nature isn't providing is the race on the radio and the bouncing of the neighbors basket ball. (*Be Jealous) What more could a girl ask for? Ahhh, yes. Some s'mores!! but those will have to wait... I don't want to make everyone TOO jealous!! muahaha!(: Awwwe... these little kids just walked by with some flashlights and they were telling "scary stories" awwe! how cute:) ANYWAYS... tomorrow I'm going on this "strenuous" cave tour with 670 steps, and is 4 1/2 miles long. I'm excited!!! I'll take lots of pictures for you guys! Which reminds me: I got a... CCAAAMMMEEERRAAA!!! I knowww, who doesn't have one? Wellllll I did have one in like 6th grade. I promise. WHATS THAT?? Oh, My s'mores are calling!(: I'll have a much more exciting update tomorrow... So until then!

Long Absenses and Awesome People:)

To all of the AWESOME PEOPLE reading this blog, I am sooooo sorry that I haven't been updating regulary. And to that one special person whom I know is reading this, I am soooo sorry I just apologized. For those of you who don't know who I'm talking about... Lets just say he's one of the smartest people I know. So to catch you up on my weekend... I've been at my moms house all week/weekend so I don't have a very reliable Internet Access point. Anyways I went to a horse shoe ternement on Sunday. TOO much fun :) although I think somewhere else would have been better ;) haha! Then on monday I went to the fireworks and saw David for the first time in like a month!!!! It was killing me! The augusta fireworks (for those of you who don't know) Is more than just an event. Its a time where you see all of your friends you haven't seen all summer. A time filled with hugs, (kisses ;) ), fun, and the occasional fight or two! It's all fun and games until someone breaks out the  funnel cake. Then someone gets hurt.
